말더듬

말더듬은 말의 유창성이 깨지는 현상으로, 소리, 음절, 단어를 반복하거나 늘여 말하고(연장), 말이 막히는 블록 현상이 특징입니다. 아동기에 시작되는 경우가 많으며, 심리적 요인보다 신경-생리학적 요인이 더 크게 작용하는 언어 유창성 장애입니다. 스트레스나 불안은 증상을 악화시킬 수 있습니다.

Stuttering, or stammering, is a speech fluency disorder characterized by repetitions of sounds, syllables, or words, prolongations of sounds, and silent blocks where speech is halted. It often begins in childhood and is primarily considered a neurophysiological disorder, not just a psychological one. Stress and anxiety can worsen the observable symptoms.
