일차성 말더듬

관찰자가 비정상적이라고 간주하지만, 아동이 이러한 비유창성이 어려움이나 비정상성을 구성한다고 느끼거나 당황해하지 않는 반복 및/또는 망설임 또는 연장으로 특징지어지는 어린 아동의 말을 설명하는 데 때때로 사용되는 명칭입니다. 이러한 비유창한 말은 아동의 말하기 능력의 성장 및 발달 중에 발생하며, 아동이 특정 종류의 정서적 또는 의사소통적 또는 언어적 스트레스 하에 있을 때 증가하는 것으로 관찰될 수 있습니다. 많은 임상가들은 그러한 말을 말더듬 문제의 초기 단계일 수 있음에도 불구하고 말더듬으로 분류하는 것에 반대합니다.

The label sometimes used to describe the speech of a young child when it is marked by repetitions and/or hesitations or prolongations which the observer regards as abnormal, but which do not seem to embarrass the child nor does the child seem to feel that these disfluencies constitute a difficulty or abnormality. Such disfluent speech occurs during the growth and development of the child’s ability to talk and may be observed to increase when the child is under certain kinds of emotional or communicative or linguistic stress. Many clinicians protest labeling such speech as stuttering, although it may be the beginning stage of a stuttering problem.
